Nita's Notes:
This Wed night, our church will be having the church wide Thanksgiving dinner. DID you hear that? THANKSGIVING! Is that possible? How did it get here so fast?
This has been an impossible year for me. So much has happened that seems impossible. So many changes in my life over the past 3 years that it almost does not seem like the same life. I am still looking for that new normal that I have been told will come. Do you ever feel as if each major change in your life almost ushers in a new era. Almost like each space of your lifetime is a new space. I am sure I am not saying this right.
Anyway, holidays are always a time of contemplation and reflection.
This year mine are going to be very hard. I know I am not the only one who will be dealing with that either, so I am offering up a prayer for all of us, who need a comforting touch.
To our Lord, who is the Great Comforter and Shepherd, the Great I AM! Father please send down your healing touch on those of us who need an extra measure of comfort today and as we go through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Please help us to remember how very much You have given us to be thankful for and that in the midst of pain and heartache, you will never leave us alone, but will always be there with us to comfort and offer your amazing peace and healing power. Amen.
