Notes from Nita: Christmas is really on its way and almost here. WOW! Let me take this time to wish you the most Joyous and Blessed CHRISTmas of all. We have been busy with activities this month, but not nearly as much as many of you, I know. Just trying to keep up with the website and keep the new designs coming on is a full time job. So, my Christmas activities have been limited to our church ones. Hope and plan to have lunch with my sisters and brother one day next week. We try to do that once a month anyway. But for sure do not want to miss this year. My sister, Roberta, who is a commercial embroider, is probably snowed under with orders about now. I have not talked to her in a couple of weeks. Will also have to get busy and get the banana bread made next week. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> REPRINT From last year: Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, even with the cold. I love the Christmas carols and the decorations and all the lights everywhere. And the most important thing about Christmas is that it is the Saviour's birthday and gives us hope. Jesus teaches us to love one another. He brings us the gospel of love and peace. For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son that the world though him might be saved. Wise men and women still seek Him today. The spirit of this season is the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Let's enjoy the Spirit of Christ during this wonderful season and everyday throughout the coming year.
Why is Jesus Better Than Santa Claus? Santa lives at the North Pole… Jesus is everywhere. Santa rides in a sleigh… Jesus rides on the wind and walks on the water. Santa comes but once a year… Jesus is an ever present help. Santa fills your stockings with goodies… Jesus supplies all your needs. Santa comes down your chimney uninvited… Jesus stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited. You have to wait in line to see Santa… Jesus is as close as the mention of His name. Santa lets you sit on his lap… Jesus lets you rest in His arms. Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is, “”Hi, little boy/girl, what's your name”… Jesus knew our name before we were born… Not only does he know our name, He knows our address, too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads. Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly… Jesus has a heart full of love. Santa says, “You better not cry”… Jesus says “Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.” Santa's little helpers make toys… Jesus makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions. Santa may make you chuckle, but… Jesus gives you joy that is your strength. While Santa puts gifts under your tree… Jesus became our gift and died on a tree. Put Christ Back In Christmas… Jesus Is Still The Reason For The Season
