Thought I would update everyone on the travels this week. I know we have been promising to do that. During the month of June, my friend Holly Pike from ATW and I took classes in Mt Airy N.C. I then traveled to Florida and picked up Ina in Ft Walton Beach and then then on to Atlanta Georgia to teach classes there for SouthEast sewing. Ina and I left Atlanta and drove over and visited with Becky J and her husband in Cheasapeake, Virginia for a few days. And on to South Carolina to teach classes and then back to Florida before coming home to Texas.
Our trip to South Carolina went really well and we had a good time and a good conference. The conference had lots of different classes that looked really great. with us sometime. Met lots of old friends there and also made some new friends. We met several of our members fom Nita's Place there; some for the first time and we have some new members who joined us. That is always fun to do. Everyone loved Dot's projects that I had with me to show and of course Ina had them displayed beautifully. I will get some pictures posted for you all soon.
This was Debbies' first conference for embroidery, but I am sure it will not be her last one. Ina and I returned to Florida on Sunday the 17th after the conferecne and then I had a visit with Dot and a couple of one on one classes with Kelly. Kelly is the young lady who digitized this weeks Sampler for us. She is doing a great job. And we plan on having many more designs from her in the future. Dot taught me to use the Wonder Ruler and I made my quilt blocks for the most recent swap going on at Nitas Place. This week, I am up in Point, Texas (close to Dallas) to stay with my sister for a couple of days to help her out a bit during and after her knee surgery. So, June has been a very busy month. I will return to my home in San Leon tomorrow. June was a long month travel-wise and I am ready for a rest from traveling during July and some time at home to get you all some new projects and designs up on the website. If anyone is waiting for new projects and updated on the website, they will be coming soon now as I plan to be at home until the end of July. Hope to get lots of new things up for you.

Time Waits for No One
To realize the value of a sister, ask someone who doesn't have one. To realize the value of ten years: Ask a newly divorced couple. To realize the value of four years: Ask a graduate. To realize the value of one year: Ask a student who has failed a final exam. To realize the value of nine months: Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn. To realize the value of one month: Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of one week: Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of one minute: Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane. To realize the value of one-second: Ask a person who has survived an accident. Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special. To realize the value of a friend or family member: LOSE ONE.
